little big planet 2

i'm not big on video games...mostly because i'm not good at them. and shooting games really don't do it for me...i'd much rather be on the range, shooting bad guy targets with my wilson in real life.

anyway, there are a few games that have caught my eye over the years...and little big planet was one of them, thanks to hubby. if you haven't played it, you should - it's a ton of fun. you run around a magical world as a sack person that you can dress up in costumes and you get to put stickers on everything! hard to explain, but fun to play. as an artist, i'm so impressed with the design & color & texture of everything in the game.

soooo of course i just heard that LITTLE BIG PLANET 2 is coming out!! AAAH!! maybe i will buy it as a gift to myself after i make it through the art show season :) do i sound like a nerd? yeaaa probably. but i don't care.

words with friends

thanks to lady smaggle, i downloaded the app "words with friends". basically, it's scrabble on your phone & you can play random people or friends. OMG it's so damn addictive!!

i have learned that a) my vocabulary is really not that great and b) my neighbor is a freaking genius. he's beaten me by 100 points consistently. it's ridiculous. he says it's luck. mmhmm.

it's pretty bad when i just start randomly placing letters to see if the program will accept it as a word. like "gied" or "thane" or "mir". did you know the plural for vacuum is "vacua"? yea i didn't either. no one knows the plural of vacuum because no one has more than one vacuum. and if they do, they say vacuums. seriously.

i have to get back to my multiple word games now. because one of my opponents put down "adz" and "lysin". i swear, i think they're cheating.

iphone

i finally upgraded to an iphone a couple weekends ago and i'm loving it! i peruse the free apps quite often, and have found quite a few things. puzzle games are SO much fun. like this one:

line up 2 - involves matching colored blocks, kind of like dr. mario (pic from itunes)

i've recently had a lot of fun with ovenbreak. basically you're a gingerbread man that hauls ass across the screen, trying to get out of an oven, while collecting jellybeans & life. random and addicting.
